The black tom laughed, a harsh and humorless sound. His father? His family? Ha! He had no father. Nor did he have any brothers or sisters.. except that cursed fly-brain, but he didn't count. However, Shallowsand still wasn't aware that this was no ordinary dream, so he didn't bother to reply in words.
He sat down and watched, his tail twitching, as the others demonstrated battle moves at the "father's" request. Yawning, he allowed his gaze and mind to wander, and stared out at a particularly large mushroom some distance away.
As the cat spoke to him, however, he turned his attention back with an annoyed look. "And why, may I ask, should I?" Shallowsand's eyes flashed as he continued, "I'm not your apprentice." He wasn't too annoyed at the older tomcat, but the thought of being an apprentice brought back memories he would rather forget. It had not been a happy time for him.

Crowheart wasn't being as easy as we has the moon before. He frowned. He knew they needed to toughen up, and not have their father breathe down their neck every second of the day. Claws sheathed for no further damage, he outstretched his massive black paw and swatted at his son across his ear with a horrifying hiss. "You listen to me son. Do you understand?" He locked his blazing amber gaze with his, staring down.

Fangbite rolled her eyes at her father. "Or you could be like me and do what you please. It's way more fun that way." Fangbite meowed. She was tried of listening to her father. Sure last moon ago she would have anything to prove that she wasn't a stupid appretice, but to have him, her stupid father tell her what to do, how bad it was and bla, bla, Bla!

Croaheart gave one last glare at Shallowsand. Turning to Fangbite, he felt a wave of determination. He felt she had some potential, if only she would show him what she has. He looked at her and flicked his ear.

Fangbite looked back at her father, her blue eyes stared him right back. Before she knew what she was doing she was crouched down on the ground. Lets see how to do this.... I'll prove to him... From her crouching pose she got up and ran under his paws then hit his hind legs hoping he would fall after she got out... Once he was unblance she jumped onto his back and grabed his Struff which she shook with her might, she knew this would stun him for abit...

Crowheart wobbled uncomfortably. "Good organization and technique. However if you land a hard blow on them after you shake their scruff more damage could be done." He leaned to a side to let her hop off of his broad back. "Who wants to try next?

Fangbite nodded at her father's words. She had to work harder. She wanted to prove that she was something not another weak warrior....

Blackfang walked out of the shadows, his musles rippled under his pelt. he was in no mood to fool around this time. he crouched down with his tail over the front of his paws. his eyes grazed the clearing to stop over a cat her never seen before. Blackfang's eyes burned the knew cats pelt. His eyes then moved to his father. he tood up and padded through the clearing and to his father. "What are we trying to do?" He flicked his tail. "I want at it."

Crowheart shifted his gaze from Shallowsand slowly to Blackfang. "Welcome," He said. "We're seeing what everyone here is capable of. And what we need to work on. And what your strengths are." He grumbled. Would you like to show us how it's done?

Shallowsand glared at the tom as the paw whacked his head. He retreated a few paces back, and muttered softly but angrily, "I'm not your son." Even if this cat was his parent by blood, the dark warrior was no son of his. Maybe he would end up here when he died too, but that did not matter. They had never even met before.
The WindClan warrior went further back into the shadows, but did not leave. Some small interest, or something, stopped him from sauntering off to explore the forest. He remained crouched there and watched the battle practice. When the leader asked for another cat to try Shallowsand did not move, but let the cat who had just arrived deal with it. Sure, in the future he would probably be tempted to join in, but at the moment he insisted upon being argumentative and a spoilsport.

Blackfang hissed at the Windclan as he back into the shadows. "He douts us.." Blackfang stood over him. "Come fight me. You think that this plan will not work? You do not want to be powerful enough to take on any cat to protect anycat in your clan!?" Blackfang's claw dug into the ground. he was in no mood to be under estimated. "Get up." Blackfang could only spat the words.

Crowheart smiled. It was getting good. This is the kind of spirit he was looking for in these cats. He flicked his ear, and his tail thumped on his tree trunk he sat upon, curious as to what might happen next.

Blackfang smacked the Windclan cat with his large paw. He stood waiting for a reply. "Get up an fight!" Blackfang's eyes glowed with rage, it felt good when he striked the cat. His claws glowed red from the other cats blood.

Blackfang couldnt wait for his reply he spon around looking for a target that would reply. Blackfang paced, "How can we rule the forest when you all wont fight back! you could be taken down with on paw swip!" He turned back to Shallowsand. "Primary example one."
