At first, the Highlands seem peaceful; BrackenClan claims the forest and the grass, Shimmerclan the waters and the caves. Every moon the warriors meet under the sacred oath of StarClan at the bridge, the island in the river dividing the Clans territory. And life ensues.
But Death takes it toll on the HighlandClans; Moonstar and her deputy, Streakpelt, sudden deaths rattles ShimmerClan with the new challenge of an inexperienced, unsure leader, and the warriors of BrackenClan may soon have their own problems.
