Blueflame staggered into the nursery. there was an opening nest in the back. shadowed with darkness. Blueflame padded to the back. the nest was cool, but something kep pulling her toward it. She lay down and pulled the two kits that she carried into her belly.

Thunderstep peeked into the nursery at his mate. He watched as she pulled the kits he thought was his toward her belly. Quietly, he padded in. "Hello, Blueflame." He meowed lowly. "How are they?" He gazed at the little ones, wondering why they were such odd colors; so different then their pelts and eyes. Shrugging it off, he returned his attention to his mate and gently licked her on the head. [/blockquote] |

Closeing her eyes and purred as his warm touch went down her head. "Everythings just fine." Blueflame gazed down at the knew kits. Blueflame's ears pricked. "Were is Whisperwind with Skykit and Dovekit? I thought she was right behind me." Blueflame looked up and put in, "Whisperwind already named the kits...If thats ok..?" Blueflame looked down and closed her eyes once more, "ANd theres something i want to tell you."

"Of course it's fine," He said warmly, closing his eyes and taking in his mates warm scent. He was going to ask what their names where, but Blueflames voice cought his attention. "What is it?"

Blueflames eyes filled with sarrow, "The other two, one is blind. The other deaf." Blueflame searched his eyes for something but nothing showed.

Whisperwind padded into the nursery with two kits squealing in her jaws. She dropped them near Blueflames belly and crashed down to the nursery floor. She was so exhausted she could barely keep her eyes opened.
After a while, she looked up and nodded a good luck to her friend, before going to her den to sleep, where she could tell Moongaze everything in the morning. She truly was worn out. [/size] |

Blueflame mouthed the words, "thank you." Too her friend padding away. Her eyes filled with sorrow as she pulled the kits closer. They shivered, one squiled and quited again.

Whisperwind cleared her throat. "Yes." Was all she could say. "Maybe you should, um, ccheck on them. I need your opinion on their health," She told her wise mentor, staring into space, avoiding eye contact.

Moongaze nodded, and came around to the front of blueflame. "First you need to check their breathing. Did you do that?" Moongaze looked up at whisperwind. Her eyes seemed to be some where else.

"Um, no." She looked at her paw, then searched for a kit. She pressed a paw to it's back as it fed, and pressed her ear to it's side. "All sounds well with this one," She noted, and moved to the next

Blueflame stiffened, she wasnt use to cats being this close.
Moongaze nodded. "I'll look in on you later Blueflame." She nodded to Whisperwind a good bye.
