The wind ran thought her fur, tangling it. The breeze pressed her whiskers to her face as she stared at her paws. She was aware of the face cats were starting to glance up at the High Ledge at her, wondering why she was acting so odd.
Tanglestar's dark ginger fur glistened in the early light. Finally, she looked up from her earlier position. Her blue eyes were full of sorrow, they gleamed like no other, sparkling like the moonpool in the night.
A tear made it's way down her cheek.
Many gasps and whispers erupted from the clan below. Tanglestar swallowed hard, and took a deep breath. Stepping forward to the edge of the massive rock, she raised her head and called, in the voice that summoned the cats from StarClan, and broke all means of disloyalty and underachieving, "Let all cats-" She paused, and took another large breath, "Join under the High Ledge for a meeting." Her voice cracked at the end, leaving the camp eerily silent.
She watched the excited kits disobey their mothers and scramble out of the nursery, because their leader had not mentioned the part where they had to be old enough to catch their own prey.
Tanglestar felt another tear foll down her cheek, and splash on the cold rock below her. Her claws scraped on it, leaving markings, as she saw her best friend, Blueflame, emerge from her den, looking confused, as four kits tumbled after her. Her kits. Her family.... her life. She also saw Whisperwind, that just broke her heart. Tanglestar was going to ruin her life as well, by the message she was going to speak today.
She waited until all silence was achieved, and all cats were gathered in the clearing.

Snowberry walked into the clearing his snowy white pelt shine agaist the light. His amber eyes sparkled as he scanned the clearing, looking at the following kits, warriors, apprentices then his eyes were on Tanglestar. Looking at Tanglestar he saw how sad she was. Her pretty face had one tear-drop making it's way down. Snowberry heart-broke. Ever since their kits had died she has been so sad. Two lovely kittens. Dead. Even Snowberry still felt the pain in his chest as he thought about the two small kits. The boy soo red that your eyes hurt for looking at him for too long yet looked just like his mother in ever way. While the small she-cat was cute and so sweet. Her white fur was like his. Infact she looked just like him. But the kits didn't live long. On secound they were there in the forest which he left to get Tanglestar some prey. The next dead. Gone. Tanglestar had told him they died. And she cried great tears as he tried to understand what she meant. Even now he couldn't believe the kits were gone.
Snowberry sat near the High Ledge where Tanglestar stood, looking small and unwell. Maybe not the best thing for the warriors to see. He could tell she was going to tell them all something. He watched his brother Tigerstripe coming out with Adderbite and Flashpelt, they looked up at Tanglestar and his brother Tigerstripe hissed something about her which the brothers all seemed to agree to. Tigerstripe's eye meant his eyes. They gleamed a hard stare and the turned his head to Blueflame's kits. Then back to his face. Tigerstripe turned and left Snowberry wondering what he meant. The kits? What about them. Sure they were coming out to the clearing but nobody had told them not to...

Tanglestar's crystal eyes met Snowberry's. She was most sorrowful toward him. She was going to ruin everything. Everything they had.
She held her breath and tore her gaze from him, shutting her eyes hard, trying to keep her tears from falling to the ground below. Finally, her voice broke the empty silence.
"Cats of ThunderClan."
Like thunder, her voice erupted, sounding far to loud and leader-like to come from a cat like Tanglestar.
"There is something I have kept from you, that no other leader should do in all their nine lives."
More whispers.
"Something that will change Thunderclan's thoughts on me." Her voice began to crack at the end of sentences.
"I have had kits." Gasps exploded from the clearing below, making Tanglestar's legs shake, and making it hard for her to stand. "Redkit and Frostkit, they are mine." She closed her eyes, and dropped her head, biting her lip. When she looked back up, she saw both the kits look up, shocked to no end. Then, to Snowberry. She could not dare look into his beautiful eyes. And never again would she, they were only partners now, born and raised to fight other clan cats and protect ThunderClan.
Nothing more.
"and this is why, that I, Tanglestar, the leader of ThunderClan," A pause and a tear; "Step down from my post to lead you. From now on, I will be known by you as Tanglefire."
More gasps and cries erupted. Some questioned the fact if Blueflame really was the mother of the four kits. Thunderstep, the 'father' of the kits, rose and quickly padded into his den, Blueflame glanced at her paws in pain. Snarls and weeps eroded from this message.
What have I done? [/size] occ: Sorry for the horrible writing! -_-'

Snowberry gasped in shock looking from Tanglestar and the two kits that he was told were dead. Redkit! And Frostkit?! But they can't be his! His died! And Tanglestar was stepping down as leader?! What did that mean now? A new leader or would he have to take over?! Snowberry got up and rushed to Tanglestar. He was hurt at how she lied to him, about the kits. All this time he thought they were dead. "Tanglesta-Fire. What do you mean?! Those kits? No. They can't be!" He gasped, none of the warriors nor apprentices weren't listening to what he was saying to Tanglefire. His eyes held hurt and pain in them, not believing what Tanglefire meant.
Redkit looked up at his leader. "Mum? What does she mean? Your not my and Frostkit's mamma?! But-but! You lied to us!" Redkit cried feeling tears fall down off his cheeks. He felt Frostkit by his side. She too didn't understand what was going on. "Redkit shhh." A voice came behide. Turning his head he saw Flamingleaf. She had always been kind to him. "No I will not shhhh! We've been told a lie! All our lives!" He yowled. "Come on Frostkit. I don't want to stay with these lieing frogs!" Then he ran off into the group of cats.
Tigerstripe looked up at Tanglefire. Great. She finally has done what she should have done days ago. Only now, the clan had no leader. And was Snowberry ready? No. "Tanglefire! Thanks a bunch! Now whats going to happen to us?! We need a leader. So, who wishes to be leader?!" Tigerstripe hissed above the nosie of the warriors. He looked over at Redkit and Frostkit. Someone will need to look out for them. Turning away from his leader he went over to the kits. "Come on. Follow me." He meowed softly to the small kits. As their uncle he had to look out for them.

Tanglefire dipped her head as she saw Snowberry rushing toward her. The angry jaunts and sorrowful cries filled the air. She could detect her kits weeping in confusion. When Snowberry reached her, she kept her head down, but whispered, "I'm so so sorry Snowberry. I'm so sorry..." She was now fully crying. This was a hard time for everyone, especially with the dreams the medicine cats' had. She couldn't hold it anymore, she looked up, and pressed her node into Snowberry's fur, taking in his warm scent for the last time. It comforted her, but nothing that happened now could fix what was messed up inside. She didn't know what to do- She knew Snowberry would never feel the same way about her. Ever. Period.
Frostkit jolted over to her brothers' side. She was shaking, confused by everything around. "You're not our mother?" She cried to Blueflame. Redkit was standing tall next to him. He was always there for her, and she had just realized how much he looked and acted like Tanglestar- Tanglefire. He was a natural born leader, good to everyone. But she had never seen him so angry. She turned and followed him away, taking another glance at both Blueflame, and Dovekit and Featherkit. Were they even Blueflame's kits?!
Whisperwind turned in agony, and dissapeared into her den. It was chaos. What was she to do? What could she do? They would find out sooner or later. And sooner or later, she'd be in the same place as her old leader. The only thing that clogged her mind was her kits. They were so delicate and sensitive....
Dawnflight sat like a stone in the night, like a shadow lost in the light of day. Her eyes flickered around the clan cats, watching the utter chaos and discrace that was set upon them. She saw Blackfang, and Tigerstripe. Tigerstripe must have something she could use, right? She blinked, and watched as the dark ginger she-cat and the white tom spoke. then she watched the kits scurry away from their thought-to-be-mother, they must be oh so heart broken. She couldn't help but let out an eerie laugh. A dark shadow appeared beside her, a fog, none-the-less. She kept her eyes fixed on the kits, as she listened to his thunderous voice echo through her ears.
"Now."
With that, the black and orange she-cat arose from her spot, and started over toward the Highledge, keeping an eye on Tigerstripe. She knew what she was to do, it was all planned. she smiled to herself, a dark shadow providing a vale over her dark yellow eyes.

Silent was followed after that one word. Tigerstripe stood by the small kits standing firm. He was going to look out for them. But he would do what he must for this clan. He watched Dawnflight with his deep dark amber eyes. He could hear Snowberry meow something to Tanglefire, it sounded like. Shh. But we can't be seen together again, OK? Snowberry was hurt. Taught him a lesson, didn't it? Tigerstripe told himself keeping his eyes on Dawnflight. She looked like she meant something. Pushing his way forward infront of her with the two little kits by his side he looked on at her.

Dawnflight shouldered past the striped warrior with the kits at his side. Determination clouded her vision and mind. With a hidden wicked smile, the small she-cat leaped her way to the top of the High Ledge. She prowled to the tip, and when she reached the sobbing ginger and white warriors, she stood strong, eyes gleaming. "Cats of ThunderClan." Such a strong voice arose from such a small cat. Everything turned silent once more, however from the corner of her eye, she could see that Tanglefire hadn't flinched. She gazed over to the edge of the camp, where a black fog with gleaming yellow eyes rested, glaring at her.
Dawnflight returned her attention back to the crowd below. "What has become of us?" She seamed to whine, sounding painful and sorrow-ridden. She sucked in her breath. "This is no was for any cat to live." She made her voice crack just a little as she dropped her head. She knew she was putting on a good show for Crowheart, she felt his eyes graze her fur. Along with Blackfangs, and even Tigerstripes.
She shuttered, and lifted her head, raising it to the sky above. The sunlight was beginning to leek behind the mountains, filling the sky with pastels of oranges and reds. "We must fix this. We all know the evil that is coming to our clans, we have to keep ourselves together!" Her speech was full of power. "We are, and always were, and always will be the greatest clan in the forest." She slid her gaze across the murmuring and shouting cats. She had them where she wanted them. Where they all believed her. And it was time.
"I will lead this clan, we will be stronger then ever! We can rise up above every other clan, more then we were before!" She yowled, getting more serious. She leaped down in a graceful mode, her fur sparkling in the late light. "What do you say, Thunderclan?" She yowled again. Chants of 'Dawnstar' filled her ears, making her relax. She again smiled to herself. She did it. [/blockquote]

Tigerstripe dipped his head. This is what ThunderClan needed now. Not some weak leader who couldn't even take care of the clan let alone her kits. Tigerstripe eyes watched Dawnstar with deep respect. At least she was doing something yet, Tigerstripe didn't like something about her. The way she kept looking at the side, looking at someone. Tigerstripe turned his head to that spot. Looking hard enough he saw a glimmer of something. Like a cat. Great. He thought. Now we have dead cats in the clan. Turning his gaze back he could see Snowberry. He didn't see that pleased. And he looked worried. But Snowberry was Snowberry and kept what he thought inside. Letting the Clan agree to Dawnstar.
Snowberry heart felt like Ice. Dawnflight leader?! But wasn't it meant to go Deputy into Leader? But what was Snowberry to say? The clan was going wild for her. And he could see why. "Dawnstar." He meowed leaving Tanglefire's side. "Whats going to happen to the deputy? Am I to leave Deputy place?" He asked fear gripped him.

occ: Oooh I LOVE it! *Claps*
Dawnstar bowed her head and smiled to her new clan. It was working so well. "Does everyone here agree?" she yowled, making it heard by every cat. Sirens of can yowles rose up all around. Turning back to hear her new name being said, she ended up turning on the deputy Snowberry.
"Funny you ask that." she said under her breath, enough for him to hear and him only. With that, she swung around to the rowdy cats, and took a deep breath. "ThunderClan! Do we still take this tom to be our deputy after everything he's done wrong?" She called, asking her caln mates. "He has turned his back on all of you, and disobeyed the warrior code as well, and made a mate of your old leader!" She swished hr tail to make her point clear. "Of course, he is innocent and sweet. But is that what we Thunderclan cats need?" She bellowed, "Yowl if you would like to make him step down, and allow me to choose the new, stronger, more intense deputy that is good for ThunderClan. And stay quiet if you would like to keep this innocent and soft tom as your leader in second command." She turned back to the tom. "We can let them decide." Of course she influenced their decisions, but she had to choose a new deputy somehow.
Occ: If you choose to drop Snowberry, when the plots over, he'll definatly hve his spot back, just so you know. ^^

Occ; Sure, It will be fun But who would be deputy?
Snowberry stared at the clan. "I never heard there was a code in the Warrior Code saying a leader and deputy couldn't become mates." He meowed looking to the clan. "But if thats what you wish I will step down. Only I feel if I do step down, an older deputy would be much liked. Seeing we have a youthful she-cat as leader the two would make a good pair." Then looking to the clan waiting for what they wanted.

occ: Sorry it took so long, I replied but I guess it didn't go though. >.< Occ2: Hmm I dunno, I was thinking possably Tigerstripe 0.0
Dawnstar gazed out over her new clan, a smug smile upon her face. "Whatever you request, Snowberry." She meowed, still looking over her clan. she's done it, the black fog was dissapearing to her right, only leaving a pair of bright yellow eyes, and a long white smile. "However, you know how things in a clan work, I presume." she turned toward him and padded a bit closer. "The clan gets-" she stopped and twitched her whiskers. "What the clan wants." With that, she turned back and padded toward the tip of the High ledge.
"So is it agreed?" she howled over the cats, as her voice echoed like thunder through the forest.
Speaking of thunder, above the clouds were floating over Thunderclan. A storm would come soon. the wind howled through the trees as the clouds moved quickly, heavy with rain. She stood still, whiskers and fur ruffled and pressed to her face and body as the wind picked up. No cat seemed to notice both the face that it was going o storm, and that it was a 'bad omen from StarClan', quite possibly. Not even the medicine cats. She snickered, and waited for a reply. Occ: Sure, that would be fun ^^ Tigerstripe stood there with cats around him cheering their hearts out. Tigerstripe had never been a cheering type, so instead he dipped his head. He looked back up at their new leader, then made his gaze go over his brother, Snowberry. He could tell he was hurt, crush, lost. He had been lied to, lost his Deputy-Ship and was hated by all, even his kits. But he bought it uppon himself.

By this time, Tanglefire had limped her way back to her den, head down like a burden the weight of StarClan had crashed upon her. She wanted to take in her old home back into sight and smell one last time.
A bolt of lightning in the far off distance increased the effect, causing some of the kits to scramble back into the nursery. the thunder was followed by later, telling them the storm was still a few minutes away. Without turning or twitching a whisker, Dawnstar stood strong, storm brewing behind her, and eyes piercing into the cats below, cried, "The new deputy of ThunderClan so long as I'm here, and we are strong, will be Tigerstripe!" The words left her mouth and traveled at a sharp pace toward the waiting cats, and as it met their earn, some unsure, some ready, hopped up and screeched with determination.
"My cats, tonight has been a long night. I ask of you to return to your dens and rest, for tomorrow will bring you new courage with determined words." She left them with that, bowed deeply, and vanished into her new den. ***
Inside, Tanglefire was still sitting in the center, head hung low. "Time to leave, Tanglefire." Dawnstar prowled around her. "Tomorrow will be a big day for surprises." She smiled wickedly. She didd't leave at first, but when Dawnstar uttered some 'Go on's and That's right's', she began to move out.
"Dawnstar." She whispered, at the exit to her old den.
"Yes, Tanglefire?" Dawnstar said back.
"I know you've done the right thing. Thank you for taking over and keeping my clan strong."
She smiled, understanding. "Your welcome, Tanglefire. Anything or my clan." She dipped her head. Tanglefire lowered her head a tad more, and bolted off into the rain and thunder, toward the warrior den that she had not slept in in ages.
Dawnstar slithered out, and padded to the foot of the High Ledge. "Tigerstripe." she half whispered, half called. [/blockquote]

"Tigerstripe." The name Dawnstar meowed for the new deputy caught Tigerstripe off guard. Me? He asked looking up in shock as the clan started coming up to him meowing the the well dones and congrats. Deputy? He looked at his brother, Snowberry, who dipped his head and left...
Tigerstripe pushed his way into the leader's den. "Yes, Dawnstar?" He asked after dipping his head towards his leader.

"Do you believe we need to take care of some business?" she asked quite vaguely, then getting to the point, added, "I don't believe ShadowClan has been treating us very well. Have you seen the way they look at us? And their pushing their borders closer and closer." She snarled. "I think it's time we didn't something about it. Tanglefire didn't know what she was doing, that naive she-cat, making friends with the worst of enemies! She lets her guard down, and ShadowClan takes advantage of us and moves in. It's a warning sign, Tigerstripe," Dawnstar was now a whisker away from his face. "And it is time we took some action about it. Tomorrow at moonhigh, we will invade the ShadowClan camp an teach them what we're made on." she hissed, eyes narrowed. She already knew how to get Tigerstripe persuaded, he clearly disliked his old leader quite strongly. It wouldn't take much to get him to follow her by dissing Tangefire.
