Hey all, this is the NEW Newbies Booklet. The last one I felt was lacking stuff and my spelling wasn't the best, but this time I'm going to spend AGES on this so I will place everything that there is to know.
Now the Newbie Booklet is for Newbies for who this may be their first site. When I join my first site I was so scared, what would others think of me? Would my cat get approved? Will they pick at it? Yeah, the list when on. But when my first cat, Berrycloud got Approved on Lake (warriorsofthelake.proboards.com) I was over the moon! It's a really nice feeling ^^
But there were somethings I needed to know and it would have been nice to have someone there! So I am that someone there for you!
OK, before we begin. I would like to make sure you know a little about me:
My name is Snowberry, I am from England, Born and bred here!
I have 3 annoying brothers and 1 great big sister who I love. And I have 2 dogs, and a lovely Mum & Dad. My mum teaches us at home (GREAT) while my dad has to work away. Which is sad for me.
OK thats all I want you to know about me! Anyway I want to make sure before we go on you have READ the rules. These rules are going to be your LIFE here, Live them, Obey them and LOVE 'em. So please make sure you have read them!
Before we do anything lets just look over the codes. These change everything about your posts so watch what your doing!
This is the BOLD code. It makes your text get thicker like so: This is how! Write between the like this: ]here[ that way the code will work!
This is the Italicize one! It makes your text go a little to the right. Like this! Just like bold make sure you place the words between the ]here[ like so!
This one underlines your text. Like so: See? Underline. I like to use these when I'm making a point. But you can use them for whatever. Like the others you have to place your text in ]here[
Yay! It's STRIKETHROUGH! This has to be my best one. Sample: As you can see it's pretty hard to see with.... Don't forget place the text between [here] like so!

I alway say to begin here. Why? Well once it's been approved you can meet people by Role-playing. Anyway. Cat Creation is where you make your cat which can be in ANY clan. Now here's the Bio Form and I'm going to tell you how to make your cat.
Cats name: Okay the name of the cat. It can be ANYTHING as long as you aren't copying or being rude. If need any help on the name look out your window and look for wildlife.
Age: This must be in moons. That means 1 moon = 1 month so 12 moons= 1 year. Get it? So if you wanted it to be 3 years old you times like this: 3X12= 36 moons. Wow, I better at maths then I thought
Group: Group= Clan. The clans are : Thunderclan, RiverClan, Windclan, Shadowclan, Bloodclan, Loners, Kitty-pet and Rouge. If need any help on the clans go to Tori's post which tells you about the clans.

Gender: This means if it's a girl or boy. It can't be both. Also we use the cat gender words instead of Male and Female like in the books we use the gender words Tom (Male, Boy) and She-cat (Female and girl)
Position: The position is where you tell us if it's a warrior, kit, Apprentice or Queen. If you wanted to be leader, Medicine cat, Medicine cat apprentice or deputy then you would have to make sure their OPEN by going to Cats Of The Clans: warriorsofthemist9.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=help&action=display&thread=189
Description: Here tell us what she/he looks likes. A photo from the internet will do just as long as you put a link. If you can't find one tell us what color pelt they have and eye color.
Personality: Tell us what their like. Nice, Kind or mean? Also are they good at something? Do they have a best place? What do the like? What do they hate?
Family: They family. They don't need to have any if you want.
History: History, About their past really. If it's a kit just write about they parents and where they were born. If apprentice tell us about they Kit Hood and about then becoming an apprentice. Warrior, You need to tell us about it's Kit Hood, Apprentice Hood and how they became a warrior. Queen, You need to tell us about they Kit Hood, Apprentice Hood, How they became a warrior and then about them becoming a Queen. Leaders and deputies need all of the 3 and the leader needs becoming deputy.
Role play sample: Role sample is how you role play so lets show you with my Cat Snowberry:
Sowberry woke to the cold air it the warriors den. It wasn't early yet the sun wasn't up. Snowberry sat up and licked his snow colored pelt to get rid of the moss. Then he headed out of the den into the busy camp.

Role-playing! Whoo!
Okay, once your Bio has been approved or if you have adopted a cat here is where you need to go. Why? To get you knowed and to meet new peopleand also this is what the site is about!!
To make your role-playing sound more cat-like use the warriors term such as Two-leg instead of Human or Kitty-pet for cat who lives with Two-legs. Tori's post about the terms: warriorsofthemist9.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=movesandterms&action=display&thread=98

Okay, right lets have a go. I suggest to grab a note-book and write a story of you cat (This acts like role-playing) but leave off the end so that someone can join in. Here is how you show write it out.
The cat(s) in it: Just list the names of your cat(s) in it like this: Snowberry, Wildstar, Grasspaw and Tigerstripe
The plot: Here you write about the plot in short like this, Snowberry, Wildstar, Grasspaw and Tigerstripe all are going to the gathing.
Role-playing Now you can Role-play! Like so, Wildstar walked slowly to the four trees not looking back to see if his clan was following.

Once you made your very first post it's time to think about stuff like do I want a apprentice? Or if a apprentice, I need to find a mentor!!! If you need one of these or want a mate/crush then you need to go to the Need Board where you post a post telling what you need/ want by going here: warriorsofthemist9.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ineeda
Here you can read other people's needs to see if they need something that you want to have. If you can't find any posts like that then make your own! Just make sure you put down, It's name, It's gender, age, Clan and what it needs.
Once you found one make sure you make a post with them to get to know their cats and them ^^

Okay as you see most of us have Signatures of our cats with their name on where they come from and some words to match them. Where can YOU get one? Well you need to make one with a photo editor such as paint or you can find someone to do one for you. I do them so you can always ask me ^^
