occ: Well your right, but their fuzzy as well "Right," Kitsong turned her attention to the path in front of her once more, there was no reason to be nervous about her apprentice. Bramblepaw was intelligent enough to survive this journey. She remembered the ThunderClan apprentice who went here only a few days ago, and got attacked by a dog and nearly trampled by a monster. It was a dangerous place, but Kitsong could trust her life in the paws of her apprentice. They neared the twoleg nests, lined with maple colored fences. She threw a quick glance at Bramblepaw, and scanned her. She looked sturdy enough. "Alright Bramblepaw." She huffed, looking back at the fence. There was the distant sound of a mad dog barking. She swallowed. "I'll keep watch on the fence. If I yowl to you, you take all the Catmint you have in your jaws at the time and come straight back. You're going to go along the perimeter of the fence to your right. There is a bundle over there, grab as much as you can as fast as you can got it?" Kitsong started padding toward the fence, stopping right at the foot of it. "And if anything happens to me, don't stay here, just go back to RiverClan and warn them. And remember we're Medicine cats, not warriors." She added, staring into Bramblepaws eyes.

"O.K.," Bramblepaw mewed, going over the plan in her head. "I'm ready; tell me when to go."

"Ok," Kitsong drew in a long breath and braced herself. Who knows what was on the other side of the fence she could be leading her apprentice into. "Go!" She yowled, sprinting behind Bramblepaw. Bramblepaw cleared the fence with ease, Kitsong followed her but stopped on top of the fence, ears erect, tail not moving, head swiveling slowly. She was mostly watching for twolegs and their kits, and of course dogs.

Bramblepaw carefully but quickly gathered as much catmint as possible. She worked as fast as she could, knowing what danger she could encounter.

Kitsong swiveled her ears to the direction of a nearby twoleg house, her eyes quickly moved there too. A huge dog was attempting to leap over a twoleg nest very much nearby. "Bramblepaw!" Kitsong yowled as she lost a lot of balance scrambling over to her side of the fence. "RUN!" Kitsong grabbed her apprentices scruff and hurled her as far as she could to get the point across. The massive animal was almost high enough to leap the fence into the garden they were in. Kitsong saw her apprentice had a little catmint in her jaws, she looked dazed. Kitsong had to turned her head over across the yard to see the black and brown sleek pelt of a dog leaping it almost with ease. Kitsong screeched as it bolted over to it, almost running paws over head. Spit flew every were as it increased speed over the small yard. Kitsong could only hear her heart beating in her chest and her accelerated breathing. Her paws scrambled to turn and get over the fence. There was no sign of Bramblepaw. Kitsong felt a wave of relieve and fear as well. She frantically bolted across the small twoleg garden seeking safety. She could feel it's heavy breathing and loud thumping of paws as it nipped at hers. She yowled and leaped all the way up to the top of the fence, almost missed it, and fell to the other side. She lay there on her back, and heard the dog crash up against the fence. It jumped at height as it could, and as Kitsong, breathing very heavily, turned her head over her shoulder, saw it's snout bouncing over the horizon of the fence. She slowed a few foxlengths from the nest and scented for Bramblepaw. Kitsong hoped she wasn't trapped inside. She yowled her apprentices name; "Bramblepaw?"

Bramblepaw bounded up to a fence after Kitsong bounded away. "Kitsong?" Bramblepaw mewed, through a mouthful of catmint. She padded across the edge of the twoleg fence, but Kitsong was nowhere in sight. I'll go back to where we found the catmint; maybe she'll be there, Bramblepaw thought, and she padded over to the garden with the catmint. She bounded down and placed her catmint with the pile of the other catmint. She gathered the last bits of it, and decided to wait there for Kitsong.

Kitsong cought the scent of Bramblepaw near her in the garden were she chased the dog from. She salvaged enough air to breathe; "Bramblepaw!" She turned tail and leaped over a nearby fence. There was her apprentice, plucking more Catmint like nothing ever happened. "Come on! Lets get out of here!" She yowled. "There's a dog close!" She meowed as she filled her jaws with Catmint herself.

Bramblepaw looked up at the sound of Kitsong's voice. She hadn't realized through the heavy scent of the catmint, but a dog was close, close enough to scent them. She quickly bounded up to the ledge, safe from the dog.

Kitsong saw her apprentice scramble away. She bolted after for the second time. "GO!" She yowled, crashing into Bramblepaw's shoulder. This dog would reach them possibly. And Kitsong wasn't taking any chances. She let her paws relax as she dove over the fence. She urged Bramblepaw to go toward the forest for safety. One they crossed the stream, the dog couldn't get over, it was far too clumsy to maintain balance. She pushed her way across he ground, she could hear Bramblepaw behind, but too much was going on. She heard the scrabbling of claws on the fence, that told her the dog was after them. She closed her eyes and heard the soft drumming of her paws on the forest floor.

Bramblepaw raced until she got past the RiverClan scent-markers. She put the catmint down and yowled, "Kitsong?" Where is she? Bramblepaw thought. She heard the yowling of a dog in the background and picked up the catmint. She hurried though the bushes and all the way into her own camp. She had been running for a long time, and she was exhausted, though she was sure that the dog hadn't followed her here. She hurried into the medicine den and placed the catmint away. Now Kitsong will be proud-Kitsong! Where is she? Bramblepaw thought, Hopefully she'll get here soon!

Kitsong scented for Bramblepaw. She couldn't tell were she went- but she had the catmint and she was safe. Kitsong kept running with the dog a little ways behind her, but gaining distance. The RiverClan boarder marker, a huge river, was in view. She twitched her whiskers. This is it- She reached the bank and bunched her muscles in a determined leap as she soared above the deep river. She hit the other side hard, crashing into the ferns, her shoulder hurting badly and brambles catching her fur. She took a deep breath and scurried up to hide behind a nearby bush. She was breathing heavily, and her blue eyes locked on the dog. It reached the river, and attempted to skid to a halt, but failed. It crashed into the water, thrashing hopelessly. Kitsong blinked. It whined, and pushed itself onto the opposite side of the bank, running back to it's twoleg nest, sopping tail between it's legs. With a snort of thankfulness, she turned and limped back to camp. All that was on her mind was Bramblepaw. Would she be there at camp waiting for her? She hoped so. Kitsong finally made it to camp, bursting through the brambles. Her shoulder was badly damaged, maybe dislocated, and a few scratches show on her front leg. "Bramblepaw?" She yowled in a crackly voice. She locked her eyes on the medicine cat's den, waiting for movement...

"Kitsong!" Bramblepaw mewed as soon as she saw her mentor. "Oh, I'm so glad that you're safe!" Bramblepaw purred. Then she noticed that Kitsong was limping. "You're hurt!" she mewed.
