Name: Silentkit
Gender: She-kit
Age: 5 and a half moons
Clan: Thunder Clan
Rank: Kit
Appearance: Silver tabby with beautiful blue eyes. She has powerful build like her father but is slender like her mother.
Personality: Silentkit is sweet and caring and pretty modest but no cat really knows that because she hasn't spoken since her mother was murdered. Silentkit doesn't really have any friends and all the elders think that she is a bad omen because her father wasn't a clan cat and her mother was murdered soon after having her. One elder was even bold enough to say it to her face. Silentkit loves exploring the forest and because most of the clan keep there distance from her its easy for her to sneak out of camp when no ones looking.
Family:
Father~ Unknown
Mother~ Moonstripe (deceased)
History:
~When Silentkit was born she was originally called Featherkit by her mother Moonstripe. Silentkit had no brothers or sisters. Although none of the clan knew who her father was Silentkit was welcomed with open paws and lived a peaceful life until she was 3 moons old.~
I remember it clearly, frost lay thick on the ground as my mother lead me through the dark forest. She kept me close to her as if she was afraid I'd disappear. I was so young but I could tell she was afraid. "Don't worry mummy I'm sure It'll be ok." My words were of little comfort and she gazed blankly back at me her eyes filled with solemn regret. We came to an open clearing and a large muscular cat sat waiting. I don't think I knew he was waiting for us or didn't understand. I was so young I remember gazing up at my mother her eyes were dull and her cheeks wet with tears. I didn't know that this cat was my father or that or that it was me that he wanted only that my mother was so sad. She looked at me with her gentle blue eyes and pressed her head to my ear. She whispered in my ear so quietly that I could only just hear her.
"My dear kit I must leave you now but you must promise that you won't move an mouse tail whatever happens." Fresh tears rolled down her cheeks. "Promise?" I didn't know what was going to happen only that my mother was very worried.
"I promise mummy" she licked my cheek. Then walked towards the large tom. His gaze darkened when he saw her.
"Where is she? Moonstripe where is my kit?" His voice was a deep growl but my mother stood without shaking. I didn't understand who he was on about I was Moonstripe's only kit surely he didn't mean me.
"Your never get your paws on her! Featherkit's safe with the clan." Realisation hit me this tom was my dad. Instead of feeling happiness I felt pure terror what did this tom want with me?!
The tom leant close to my mothers face "Tell me where she is." My mother looked him in the eye her fear seemed to have disappeared.
"Never." He spat in anger and smacked her around the face. My mother staggered in surprise but lifted her head and looked at him her eyes full of love, hate, sadness, pain so many emotions. "I may be doomed but she won't be." The toms whiskers twitched with amusement.
"It is interesting how a she-cat like yourself can bore me so easily. But my dear you know it is impossible to beat me in anything. If I'm losing I cheat so I can promise you that you have lost. All you have done is postponed the inevitable but I'm patient so I can wait." I shivered I didn't want anything to do with this cat whether we were kin or not. The tom put his mouth to my mothers ear and whispered so quietly I had to strain my ears to hear him. "Of course you will just have to trust me because you won't live long enough to see what happens" Before I knew what was happening the tom pounced on my mother and raked his claws along her spine she let out a yowl of pain and fell to the floor. This couldn't be real It couldn't. I wanted to run to my mothers side but the tom was still there his icey glare studying the undergrowth. He seemed to be looking directly at me and I was sure he could hear my racing heart. Every instinct told me to run but I couldn't I was frozen to the ground watching the blood running from my mothers body. The tom looked at the dead queen "It didn't have to be like this." He then turned around and ran into the darkness.
I don't know how long I stayed there rooted to the spot staring at my mothers corpse but eventually a patrol found us. Snowberry carried me to camp and the other warriors carried my mothers body. Yowls of anger and pain broke out among the clan as my mothers body was lain down in camp. Snowberry took me to the nursery but all I really wanted was to curl up with my mother and go to sleep maybe even to wake up and find out it was all a dream. But as much as I tried to imagine it all being a dream I knew this was real.
~ Featherkit couldn't talk to anyone it were as if there was a barrier stopping her from making any noise. Because of this a moon after her mother died the leader changed her name to Silentkit. No one ever found out how Moonstripe died and there is still mystery surrounding her death. ~
Roleplay Sample: Silentkit wept quietly into her bedding. The blood from her wounds mixing with her tears, and staining the ground around her. The elders. It was always the elders. Her blood would spill before they were content.
