There were once 4 protectors of the seasons.
The energetic and hot-headed Wolf of Spring.
The brave but immature Princess of Summer.
The smart and plotting Witch of Autumn.
And finally, the beautiful and just Ice Queen of Winter.
All 4 were those who started the seasons.
The wolf danced, leading to flowers to burst where she stepped, prancing about as she led spring in. The princess gave those who visited cards, that they held up to the light, leading it to shine down and summer to begin. The witch cast a spell to summon Autumn, and the queen led her fairies into ushering in winter.
All these repeated, and this led to a full and healthy harvest, keeping the Harvest Goddess alive and well.
However, these protectors were eventually defeated.
A unwise 'hero', not knowing what to do, killed the wolf as she was ushering spring.
The princess became in a duel with the witch, and both were killed as a result.
A rebel fairy, Quill, rose up against the ice queen and defeated her in duel.
This led to reincarnation, and for the Harvest Goddess to be stuck as stone, as times previous, due to the seasons not appearing.
The reincarnations have not yet realized their powers, nor have they even realized their fate.
Time is moving fast, and the seasons will not wait forever.
