First Time Out

Frostkit rolled over in an enormous yawn that echoed around the nursery. She blinked her eyes opened, and rolled over, plopping out of the nest. Frostkit began yowling loudly to get back in, but every time she'd try, she'd fall back onto the ground. "Mother!" She cried, pouting on the ground. "I need help!" Her little crystal blue eyes locked on her mother who was snoozing in her nest. "MOTHER!" She tried again.

[Rainstar]

Skykit looked up at the vibration in the ground coming from besid the nest. Seeing her little sister crying sh eput her paw out and flicked her stubby little tail.

"Grr..." Frostkit kept bawling.

Dovekit opened her eyes to darkness. She could hear Forstkit screaming below. She let out an enormous yawn and wobbled over to her mothers face, her fluffy fur poofed out. She shoved ehr paw on her moms face and pushed. "Mommy." she mewed sweetly. "Wake up, sissy needs you."

[Rainstar]

Blueflame shook her head to a puffy fur ball in her eyes. "Haha, Well it looks like it didnt take long for you guys to be up and running." Blueflame flicked her ears to Frostkit, "Now how did you fall?" Blueflame didnt wait for an answer and picked up The frost colored kit by the scruff and back into the nest. "Now be good." Blueflame watched the kits play with each other.

Skykit watched as her mother picked up Frostkit and dropped her back into the nest, She coacked her head to the side and watched dovekit puff up. Skykit laughted.

Dovekit turned to Skykit, and heard her laughing. "Whats to funny?" She meowed. She wiggled her haunches, and launched up to her sister, as they rolled around in the nest.

Frostkit began to luck herself. "I just did." She laughed, rolling on her back.

[Rainstar]

Skykit was pinned down, She shook her head and smmiled. She rolled over so that she was pinning her sister down. Skykit had a smile grow across her face in wining. Skitkiy then turned and crouched moving her hunchs back and forth ready to spring, she then leaped into the air and landed on Frostkit trying to bite her tail. Skykit succesed and had the fluffy tail in her mouth and smiled. She spit out the tail with bits of fur trailing behind. Skykit spit them out at the dispitful taste. and screwed up her face and suck out her tung.

Dovekit rolled onto her back after having her tail in teh clitches of her sisters tail. She yowled in fury, crying in the pain, and whining to her mom. She rubbed her paw on her eye to wipe away a tear and hurried over to the other side of Blueflame, where she snuffled up and licked on her hurt tail.

Frostkit straightened up after a while and wiggled her haunches after a good stretch. Clumsilly, she waddled over to her mothers face and meowed, "When can we do outside mother?"

Redkit was sound asleep, dreaming of mice and rabbits untill he woke to the sound of the kits running around him. He opened his eyes seeing the nursery for the first time and his mother not so far away from him. He rolled over hoping to get some more sleep but that seemed inpossible with the noise going on. Still sleepy, Redkit pushed himself up to get about view of the nursery and his sisters. His red fur stuck out everywhere but he didn't bother licking it. "Uh." He meowed finding his voice and using it. "What's all this noise? I'm trying to sleep." He complained.

Frostkit nudged her brother with her paw playfully, as his head moved from side to side. "Sleep is for loosseerrsss." She laughed. "Playing is way more fun! You're like a fat old hedgehog." She stuck her chin in the air at her rather unique comparison.

[Snowberry]

Redkit chuffed his sister over the head with his paws. "It's not for losers. It's for brave warriors. Unlike some." He meowed feeling sleepy but not wanting to show his sister that he was a 'loser'.

"Aw, come on! Be fun!" Frostkit nudged her brother again. Scoffing with anger, she flopped around and began to play with Dovekit. Both kits wrestled over the nest, laughing and schreaching.

[Snowberry]

Redkit let out a huff. "Be fun? Frostkit, I feel like I could sleep forever. How can I have fun besides, I really want to have a little poke around the camp." He meowed then turned his head towards his mother in hope.

[Rainstar]

Blueflame laughted, "Okay okay, You can. But if you cant see me your too far from the nursery, And don't go out of the camp." blueflame rose and shook her pelt, moss dropped off and landed on skykits head, Blueflame smiled and used her tail to flick it off. Blueflame then began her way to the nursery entrence when her kits raced between her legs.

Skykit didnt know what was happening up seen her mother start for the nursery way, Yay! a chance to get out!

[Snowberry]

Redkit beamed at his mother. "Thanks!" He meowed and without waiting for his sisters he ran out of the nursery greeted by the sun like a long lost friend. "Wow." He breathed as he saw the for the first time-It was huge! Bigger than the nursery. "You guys!!! Hurry!! It's ... HUGE!" He called to the others.

Frostkit scrambled after the others. She stared in amazement as her eyes gazed across the camp. Cats bustled along, huge cats, bigger than their mother!

Dovekit made her way to the entrance, and skidded to a halt once her precise hearing helped her find out where the nursery ended. She grinned at all the new sights, her sightless blue eyes wide with excitement. She only thought she was like everyone else, she had no idea that her three siblings saw more than she did. Saw anything at all, for that matter.
