"Hey," She padded next to him. "I'm really sorry for not talking to you, and I'm over that now. I really am sorry." She glanced at the two cats, Snowberry and Tanglestar. She smiled. I know love when I see it, she thought. and they should be left alone. leader, or not. She nudged Blackpaw to follow her as she shot off into the woods. She sat down in a dry hollow, protected by shrub and trees. "Blackpaw, I-" She looked into his eyes. warm with curiosity. They burned back into hers like a warm controlled fire, heating up her heart. "I love you. I'm sure of this. But there is no way we can be together. It's- forbidden. And you know this just as well as I do. I've chosen the path of a medicine cat. You are going to be a warrior." She paused. The warmth in his eyes now drifting away like a mist shrouding a meadow. She took in a deep breath, then let it out. "I will be a true medicine cat soon, and you will be a warrior" She broke off again, looking off to the sire. She still knew Blackpaws now stone cold eyes were still boring into hers. "Do you remember Leafpool and Crowfeathers relationship? the one the elders tell us about?" She found the strength to find his gaze once more, and hold it. Blackpaw still hadn't said anything. "Leafpool was a medicine cat of ThunderClan. Crowfeather, a warrior of WindClan. They loved each other so much, they ran away. But soon returned to their clans because they needed them. That's how we will turn out to be if we continue talking, Blackpaw." She didn't know what else to say. But she glanced to her side to a shroud of mist. A pair of eyes stared at her. ThudnerClan scent, She thought. Spottedleaf! She's heard of her from the elders. Her soft voice cought Whisperpaw by surprise. "Greetings," She murmured. "Love is a item you have to be careful with. You never know if it's right, until you find the exact match for you." Whisperpaw stared on. "Is-Is Blackpaw the one?" Surly not! "Hush, I will see you again soon- Follow your heart. StarClan will not be mad. You are a special cat, Whisperpaw....." the mist faded. "Spottedleaf! Come back!" She gasped. Turning back to Blackpaw, he appeared to have not seen her. Whisperpaw was breathing heavily. She stepped forward. "But I love you-" She mewed to Blackpaw. She nuzzled his cheek. "Follow your heart..." She muttered under her breath. "This is the right thing to do, right Spottedleaf?" The moon was rising high in the sky. She felt calm with Blackpaw. Happy.

Blackpaw's heart pounded, Whisperpaw loved him too! he opened his mouth to speak, but Whisperpaw went on. But she wants nothing to do with me.... blackpaw's eyes filled with tears, but he held them back. Blackpaw was surprized when Whisperpaw nuzled his check. She whispered something in his ear but he didn't hear. He puled away, "Okay, if that how you want it, then...Okay." Blackpaw backed from Whisperpaw's grasp. With his ears down, he looked back, he had no words. "If you want it that way." He padded up to Blueflame, Moongaze, Tanglestar, Snowberry, and Thunderstep. Blackpaw padded beside Tanglestar.

Moongaze glaced back at Whisperpaw, as Blackpaw padded away, with his head down. As Whisperpaw padded up, "What did you say to Blackpaw? Is every thing okay?"

"Yeah," She replied quickly. "Everything's fine," She padded right by Moongaze, almost grazing her. She had to find Blackpaw, and tell him why they can be together! She looked sharply around after a small meal of a mouse, that she couldn't finish. She found his black pelt come in from a patrol, and she rushed over to him. "Blackpaw," She began again. "We can be together!" She murmured too low for any other cat to hear. "Spottedleaf, an ancestor, told me to do what my heart tells me to and this is it! My heart loves you, so it's ok! StarClan approves!" She blurted out. She had to hold herself back from nuzzling him, because there were cats around. "We just can't tell any cat!" She exclaimed, looking for emotion.

Blackpaw was bewildered by how fast every thing was happening. He shook his head, "Wait." Blackpaw went to lay his prey on the fresh kill pile. "Alright, fallow me." Blackpaw padded out of the thorn tunnel and started for the Riverclan border. He looked back to make sure Whisperpaw was fallowing.

She followed him all the way to the Riverclan border. "Yes?" She mewed when they must had reached the destination. She really hoped he wouldn't deny her.

Blackpaw sat down with his tail curled over his feet, "So, you tell me you love me and you know i love you too, and then you tell me you never want to see me and love me. Now you say that starclan says its okay? So what going on?" Blackpaw's eyes were hard and sturn, "I don't like it when someone plays with my heart." Blackpaw got up to leave.

[Tanglestar]

"No, Blackpaw, wait! Please! Let me explain!!" She hoped her would allow her to, all because of what has happened so far. "Blackpaw," She repeated, then drew a deep breath. "I didn't think it was ok before, but now I know it is! In the meadow with you, I saw Spottedleaf, a medicine cat ancestor from when firestar was only an apprentice!" She took another breath, "And she told me to follow my heart and find out what to do. My heart went to you! She said whatever I choose, StarClan will be happy." She blinked, hoping Blackpaw would beleive her. And love her like she loved him.

[Rainstar]

A tear flowed down Blackpaw's cheeck, "I don't like it when someone plays with my heart. And even when its against the warrior code, you should always go with your heart." Blackpaw started to pad away, "Let me know when you make up your heart not your mind." Blackpaw put his head down as another tear went down his cheeck, "I thought we had something,"
